The NorthWind’s Bangui Bay project delivers all of its produced electriciy to Ilocos Norte Electric Cooperative (INEC).

The 24.75 megawatt (MW) wind farm presently supplies up to 40% of Ilocos Norte’s electricity requirement starting last May 7, 2005.  When Phase II is completed in June 2008, the wind farm will produce up to 33MW, which will keep pace with the growing demand of Ilocos Norte.  

The project is in line with the Philippine Department of Energy’s (DOE) Power Development Plan towards energy independence and the acceleration of rural electrification.
